About the Investor Facilitation Platform

The Investor Facilitation Platform is the culmination of suggestions received from investors, investment bankers & other stakeholders during interactions in road-shows & other forums.

The platform has been conceptualized keeping in view the overall objective of enabling an inclusive ecosystem that facilitates closer interaction amongst the Government, Companies & the investors on one hand & including investor feedback in better management of the Government investment in the companies on the other.

The platform has been developed for all the constituents of the Disinvestment process to facilitate their engagement with the concerned parties in a more systematic and efficient manner. The platform also provides latest updates on the activities of the companies and investor presentations, as follows:

On the interactive platform, if you are an investor, you can:

  • View (and express your interest in participating in) upcoming investor meets of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of your interest which are in the immediate disinvestment pipeline
  • Set up Meetings or Calls with the Management, Administrative Ministry, DIPAM & Investment Banker pertaining to any CPSE/PSB in the immediate disinvestment pipeline. You can also email them with your requirements.
  • View/edit the status of such upcoming meetings/calls, including whether they have been confirmed by the requestee. Further, for past meetings/calls, feedback on the quality of the interaction can be provided.

On the interactive platform, if you are an investment banker, you can:

  • View meeting/ call requests made by investors on this platform to you or the Management of the PSU or the concerned DIPAM officer or the Administrative Ministry in PSUs where you are mandated. For meeting/call requests made to you, you can also confirm if you shall be attending the same or not.

On the interactive platform, if you are a Law Firm, you can:

  • View investor meets of PSUs where you are mandated

% share of CPSEs in BSE Market Capitalisation

PSUs or Public Sector Undertakings (Click here for types of PSUs) are among the largest and most profitable organisations in India. As on 31-OCT-2017, of the total of 320 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and subsidiaries of CPSEs, only 53 are listed. 50 of these are listed at BSE, which constituted 9% of the total market capitalisation of 5140 companies listed at BSE. In addition, 25 Public Sector Banks (PSBs) with their subsidiaries and 5 State Level Public Enterprises (SLPEs), accounted for another 1% of the total market capitalisation at BSE. Thus all PSUs together constituted 9.9% of the total market captalisation at BSE or Rs. 14.27 lakh crore (Click here for details).

  • The maximum amount raised by PSUs from the capital market in any year was Rs. 31,081.53 crore in 2009-10. The maximum amount raised through disinvestments from capital market in any year was Rs. 23,857 crore in 2012-13.
  • The maximum number of applications received in a PSU IPO/FPO since 2003-04 was in CIL (15.96 lakhs) followed by NTPC (14.40 lakhs)
